Soles pulls out of FLW Tour

FLW issued a press release today announcing that first-year Tour pro Van Soles of Haines City, Fla., informed the organization that he is withdrawing from the remainder of the FLW Tour events in 2015.

Soles was 132nd in points after two tournaments, finishing 98th at Lake Toho and 146th at Smith Lake. He is listed on the pro roster for the Alabama River Bassmaster Southern Open this week, but posted a zero on day 1.

Joe Gerard, a Kansas resident and veteran of the Rayovac Series, will replace Soles on Tour for the final four events, ensuring the field remains at 154 boats.

Soles is the fourth angler to pull out of FLW Tour competition already this season. Troy Gibson withdrew shortly after the season opener. Last week, Guido Hibdon and Payden Hibdon announced their withdrawals. By employing a "call-up" or waiting list, FLW has been able to offer the vacant spots to other anglers who were denied Tour entry before the season.
