Wellman wins, Said & Adams make Classic

Michigan FLW Tour pro Nate Wellman slammed a comparatively massive 22-15 on the final day and easily won the Chesapeake Bassmaster Northern Open by more than 15 pounds.

Wellman fell 12 points short of a Bassmaster Classic spot, though. That coveted prize went to Northern points winner Ryan Said and points runner-up Tracy Adams. BassFans will recognize Adams as a longtime FLW Tour pro who opted out of the Tour this year.

Below is a look at the final Top 12 in the Northern Open points. The Top 7 get an automatic invite into the Elite Series, although BASS will call down the list.

1. Ryan Said -- Mich. -- 778
2. Tracy Adams -- N.C. -- 775
