Damiki Baits announced today it has increased its involvement with FLW Tour pro Bryan Thrift and will be his title sponsor for the 2015 season.
Thrift was part of the Chevy team that was disbanded after the automaker opted to not renew its contract with FLW for this year. Damiki has been sponsoring Thrift since 2009.
“Bryan’s more like family to us now. He’s been with us since the beginning,” said Damiki sales manager Daniel Kim. “We value his thoughts and we run everything through him before we do anything. He is a big factor in that regard with us. If we can support him financially to help him go further in his career then we’ll do that.
“With all the TV exposure he gets, we’d be remiss not to support him as much as we can. Bryan’s a quiet guy, but he attracts so much attention because people are interested in and trying to figure out what he’s going to do. I see him having more eyes on him this year based on his success the last couple of years.”
Thrift said he’s thankful Damiki had enough faith in him that they chose to expand its involvement with him.
“After losing my title sponsor, I’ve been fortunate enough to be with a great lure company for the past five years,” Thrift said. “They stepped up and I’m excited about it because I can give them more exposure with having a full boat wrap rather than a patch on my jersey.”
