David Kilgore is taking care of business in his backyard again.
The two-time B.A.S.S. Open winner who hails from Jasper, Ala., and is coming off an 8th-place finish at the Bassmaster Classic caught 19-15 today and is the day-1 leader at the Lewis Smith Lake Bassmaster Southern Open.
He's more than a pound ahead of Todd Auten, who caught 18-05. Brandon Lester, a week away from making his Elite Series debut, is 3rd with 17-15.
