I said after my Beaver practice that I knew I was on something to make the Top 10, but I never found that big school here. I didn't go all the way to the grass though, and that's where all the action is. Once you get from Paris Landing on down, there's some milfoil, but all the good stuff is 15 to 20 miles south from Paris. So you're looking at a 60-mile run.
I thought I could find them closer. There are some good stringers to be had mid-lake, and that's where I looked, but I didn't get the right spots. I've been catching a lot of 3s and 4s, but that might not even make the money.
I'm kind of kicking myself for not going. Strategically, I thought that stuff would be hammered by the Elite guys. I'm just kind of disgusted with my practice, really.
