The 2013 Bassmaster Classic at Grand Lake marked the coming-out party for STORMR outerwear. The company's eye-catching STRYKER jacket and bibs were a big hit among the competitors outfitted with the neoprene-constructed gear. It was tailor-made for the unseasonably cold and wintry conditions that gripped much of northeastern Oklahoma that week.

STORMR didn't rest on its laurels this year and with the release of its Fusions Series rain gear, the company is now able to cater to anglers looking for foul-weather gear for use in warm-weather situations.

The Fusion Series jackets and bibs utilize VAPR Tech (Variable-stretch Advanced Performance Rain-gear) to create windproof, waterproof, breathable shells that strategically incorporate high-stretch neoprene panels for an increased range of motion and superior comfort -- all while remaining extremely lightweight.

"I've always struggled wearing traditional bibs," said two-time B.A.S.S. winner Jeremy Starks. "Greg Hackney and I have talked about it at length. When you have to wear them for several days in a row, they pull on your shoulders and kill your back. With the STORMR suit, the way they strategically place the neoprene, you don't feel any of that."

Paul Mueller, who finished 2nd in the 2014 Bassmaster Classic while making long boat runs in his STORMR bibs and jacket, said that in his days of guiding in the northeast, he's noted that rain-gear is every bit as critical in the summer as it is during the colder months.

"You may not need all of the layers, but you still need to stay dry," he said. "As a guide and a tournament fisherman, I can't pick my days and no matter how warm the air is, if you get stuck in a torrential rain you can get very cold. That's why I'm so excited to have the Fusion Series with sealed seams and all sorts of features designed with fishermen in mind."
