The Bassmaster Elite Series season has reached the quarter pole with the conclusion of its season-opening southern swing through Georgia and Florida.
While Lake Seminole winner Brett Hite cooled to a simmer at the St. Johns River, the fishing was hotter than it's ever been for an Elite Series event at the tidal river in northeastern Florida. Numerous 10-pound fish were hauled to the stage, including a 10-10 caught by Greg Hackney, and Chris Lane wowed everybody with a jaw-dropping 37-09 stringer on day 2 that helped fuel his drive to victory.
