The third day of competition at the Cayuga Lake Bassmaster Elite Series got under way with clear skies and no breeze Saturday in Union Springs, N.Y.
Nearly a third of the 50 anglers remaining were fishing within a couple miles of the takeoff ramp on the north end, many them drifting through areas loaded with emergent vegetation.
Below is a photo gallery of Saturday morning's action:

Looks Fishy
Here's a snapshot of what the vegetation looks like around Cayuga Lake. It hasn't topped out everywhere and many anglers are blind casting to holes and clumps. (Photo: BassFan)
Taking a Look

Three's Company

"Hi, Aaron."
VanDam then encountered Aaron Martens after passing DeFoe and Pipkens. It was a congested stretch on the west side of the lake. (Photo: BassFan)
