This is just a taste of the new products being unveiled this week in Orlando at ICAST.

The 2016 ICAST show is due to open its doors at 9 a.m. Wednesday, but there was plenty of opportunities Tuesday to get a sneak peek at many of the new products that will be introduced this week.
The On The Water event at Lake Toho on Tuesday allowed for baits, reels, rods, kayaks, etc. to tested in real fishing conditions and later in the day, the New Product Showcase Preview Reception pulled back the curtain on a slew of other new goodies from across the industry.
Below is a sampling of what caught my eye during my travels. Stay tuned through the week for more reports from Orlando.

Lunkerhunt Link
Hailed as the only hinged walking topwater bait on the market, the Link can perform a number of actions depending on how it's retrieved. Available in two sizes (4 1/2 and 6 3/4 inches) and nine natural forage patterns. MSRP: $12.99/$13.99.
Strike King Popping Perch

Optimum Boom Boom Swimbait
Elite Series angler Fred Roumbanis has worked with Optimum Baits on a new signature series swimbait for a long time now and they finally feel their work is done. It's a 6-inch soft plastic bait available in two options – pre-weighted or unweighted. In the water, its thumping action is tantalizing (we fished with it) on a slow, steady retrieve. BIOVEX Kolt Fish Tail & Shad Tail
These petite 4-inch baits are new finesse options that have tiny integrated air pockets that create small bubbles in the water. MSRP: $5.95.

ECO-NET LTD Eco Popper
The first bait to have an high-definition camera built into it. The Eco Popper has an HD, wide-angle camera in its tail so users to view/record fish strikes. A series of sensors in the bait also record data like temperature, salinity and clarity. MSRP: $179.
Ego Nets S1 Genesis Net
The blue kryptek camo pattern is all the rage in the fishing world these days and Ego has designed its new floating net (30-pound maximum load) with that pattern on the handle and rim. MSRP: $69.99
Jackall Gavacho Popping Frog

Megabass i-Loud
Megabass' new jointed wake/prop bait features a unique RAB balancer system, an internal tungsten balancer arm that crashes into the inside walls when the bait is retrieved. That creates a loud knocking sound that when combined with the rear prop elicits fierce strikes. MSRP: $29.99.
Megabass MagSlowl

Another new hollow-body topwater option, this slender bait walks and skips and glides with ease. MSRP: $15.99.

To our knowledge, these are the first high-end, polarized sunglasses that fold up, thanks to a patented rail design along the upper rim. MSRP: $209.
Savage Gear 3D Suicide Duck
Built with spinning feet that throw water in all directions, the newest topwater craze has a unique hook arrangement to ensure good hook-up ratios. Available in two sizes and three colors. MSRP: $16.99 to $19.99.
Westin – Danny the Duck
Meet Danny, the next big bass or pike bait for your arsenal. Two years in the making, Danny is designed to be fished with the rod tip high to deliver its unique action. MSRP: $19.99.
Seaguar Finesse Fluorocarbon/Rippin Monofilament
Two new technique-specific line options from Seaguar. MSRP: $26.99 (fluorocarbon), $10.99 to $14.99 (mono).
Tightlines UV WHenko & Scott Martin Punch
Two new additions to the Tightlives UV Whisker Series. The WHenko is available in three sizes (5, 6, and 7 inches) and the 3-inch Punch is a smaller profile with the added action of the integrated whiskers. MSRP: $6.99-$7.99 (WHenko), $6.99 (punch).
