Pete Gluszek, co-founder of The Bass University along with Mike Iaconelli, told BassFan today that last weekend's event in Chicago was BU's first complete sellout. Every spot available in the meeting room at the convention center in Schaumburg, Ill. was filled – about 130 students in all.
"We try to keep it around 100, but we didn't want to turn anybody away," he said. "One of the really cool things was we had a lot of kids – both college and high school – and we could hardly get through the seminars because they wanted to know everything."
The instructor lineup for Chicago consisted of Gluszek, Iaconelli, Shaw Grigsby, Bernie Schultz, Mike McClelland and Brandon Palaniuk.
Three more sessions are scheduled for this year: Dallas (Feb. 9-10), Oaks, Pa. (Feb. 16-17) and Suffern, N.Y. (March 2-3). To register or obtain more information, click here.
