Anglers help out at disabled hunt

Bassmaster Elite Series anglers Bill Lowen, Greg Vinson, Bradley Roy and Kelley Jaye were among the volunteers who assisted at a recent deer hunt for disabled children near Kellyton, Ala. (click on the photo to see a larger image). The event was put on by Outdoor Friends Forever (OFF).

"OFF has some property down there, and for the last couple years some landowners in the area have let them use their land, too," Lowen said. "It was my first year being involved with it, and I'll be there every year that my schedule allows.

"The deer hunting was pretty slow – I think we ended up with three or four. One day we took them all to a lake to fish from the shore, and that turned out pretty good."

Two of Lowen's sponsors – Buck Knives and Flambeau – provided equipment that included hats, knives and calls.
