Canadian Open set for July

The Competitive Sport Fishing League (CSFL) announced recently that Lake Ontario will be the venue for the Kingston Canadian Open of Fishing next summer. The dates for the tournament will be July 25-27, 2013. The 3-day, no-cut team event will feature 80 teams of celebrity and pro anglers along with co-anglers.

The winning pro will take home $30,000 while the co-angler winner will take home a boat package valued at $16,000.

The event will support The Kingston Military Family Resource Centre (KMFRC), a non-profit, charitable organization that supports and enhances the health and well-being of the military community.

Registration opened Dec. 1 and entry fees are $1,000 for pros and $750 for non-boaters. To register, call the CSFL at (905) 640-2277, send a fax to (905) 640-2278 or click here to send an e-mail. To learn more about the event, click here.
