According to a release issued by FLW today, the Mississippi River FLW College Fishing tournament originally scheduled for Saturday, July 28 at LaCrosse, Wis., has been moved and rescheduled for the following weekend.
The event will take place on Sunday, Aug. 5 at Rend Lake in Whittington, Ill. The move was necessitated because of “Coast Guard regulations restricting how volunteers can be reimbursed for their assistance,” according to the release.
FLW has requested clarification from the Coast Guard to avoid similar issues arising in the future.
