Jackall: New Aska cranks and a TBA

Jackall: New Aska cranks and a TBA

Jackall unveiled its new 50SR (2-inch) and 70SR (3-inch) versions of the Aska (pictured to right on top) today at ICAST. Building off the success of the 60SR, anglers now have a variety of size options to choose from when it comes to the squarebill crankbait.

The first striking feature is the circuit-board look of the square bill, which is designed to grab more water and enhance the fast wobble and rolling action. Another detail that was incorporated into the new baits was to give the center hook less play to help avoid snags and improve the overall balance.

The color lineup in the new Aska squarebills is: Tennessee shad, crawfish, chartreuse shad, sparkle SS shad, super crawfish, JP purple chartreuse, super shad, bronze green shad and black chartreuse.

Another unveiling today was a 5-inch minnow-style bait (pictured to right on bottom) that’s still considered a prototype. It’s so early in the process that Jackall’s yet to come up with a name for the bait. Any suggestions?
