Those who'd met Jack Wingate – or even heard of him – might be interested in seeing this photo tribute to his life on the website of Ivey Funeral Home in Bainbridge, Ga. It consists of dozens of photos dating back to his early childhood and many that were taken as he was surrounded by family and friends shortly before his death last week.
There are pictures showing Wingate, the longtime owner of Lunker Lodge at Lake Seminole and a B.A.S.S. pioneer, with the likes of President George Herbert Walker Bush and Ray Scott, and an amusing one in which a fish literally caught him with his pants down.
