Whiting returns to Airrus

Ken Whiting is a name recognized in rodbuilding circles everywhere. He's traveled a somewhat circuitous route the past several years since he founded Airrus in 2002, but now he's back with the company he started.

Whiting's initial Airrus products were a big hit about a decade ago, when Airrus delivered several design revolutions and captured three consecutive ICAST Best in Show awards. Whiting then sold Airrus, but stayed on until 2007, when he went to work for E21. He then migrated from E21 to Duckett Fishing, and now is back with Airrus, which itself is under new ownership.

Airrus International president and CEO Francesco Dotto, as part of company restructuring, said Whiting will head up Airrus U.S.A.

Airrus also announced the coming introduction of three new rods – the Micro Pulse, Co-Matrix 2.0 and Ken Whiting Nano Fusion signature series.

Additionally, Airrus International named Trophy Technologies of McCordsville, Ind. exclusive distributor for all Airrus products within North America as well as customer service, warranty issues and returns. Trophy Technologies owns Reaction Strike and Castaic.
