A new Canadian weight record was set Saturday when Mark Moran and Joe Muszynski brought a 31 1/2-pound limit of smallmouths to the scale at the Lake Simcoe Open. The mark broke the 2009 record of 30.35 set by Charles Sim and Nigel Touhey.
The duo earned $25,000 for the victory, plus an additional $20,000 from Toyota for breaking the record.
