Oklahoma changing course on bass management

Oklahoma is set to implement a near reversal of its largemouth and smallmouth bass management strategy, dropping the regulation that no bass under 14 inches may be kept and adopting a standard allowing anglers to keep only one over 16 inches per day. Studies have shown that the majority of the state's lakes have an overabundance of smaller bass and it wants to encourage anglers to keep some of them for the frying pan, creating more growth potential for the remaining fish.
