This week's announcement that FOX Sports will provide live coverage of the 2021 Bassmaster Classic and all regular-season Elite Series events won't push professional bass fishing quite into the popularity realm of golf or tennis, but it provides another option for the sport's hardcore devotees and an additional opportunity to create new fans. Still, in Joe Balog's view, the competitors' interaction with live creatures and the division of the sport into multiple top-level tours will remain obstacles for some.
