Clear Lake Toyota Series leader boxes 24-12

Tom White, a resident of Costa Mesa, Calif., weighed a 24-12 sack to grab the early lead at the Clear Lake Western Toyota Series. White fished the first two events on the circuit as a co-angler and is making his debut competing from the front of the boat.

He'll start day 2 with a 3-12 edge over Major League Fishing angler Jared Lintner, who caught 21-00. The 3rd- and 4th-place competitors also weighed more than 20 pounds.
