New Mexico promoting bass with new challenge

Want to be inducted into a hall of fame for bass anglers? The New Mexico Dept. of Game & Fish is offering that opportunity, but it'll require at least one trip to the Land of Enchantment to fulfill the requirements (unless you already live there, of course).

The NMDGF announced the New Mexico Bass Challenge this week. Open to both residents and non-residents, it requires anglers to catch four species of bass (largemouth, smallmouth, spotted and white) from waters within the state and submit the data via the Powderhook app. There's no registration fee and no time limit and catch-and-release is encouraged.

Successful participants will receive Bass Challenge Hall of Fame recognition, along with a certificate, a commemorative coin and a sticker. For additional information, click here.
