Howell set to give boat away this weekend

As he has for the past eight years, Bass Pro Tour angler Randy Howell is ready to hand over the keys to his tournament boat to the winner of the annual giveaway which benefits an Alabama charity devoted to assisting women and children who've suffered abuse, abandonment and neglect.

More than $1.2 million has been raised for King's Home, based in Chelsea, Ala., since Howell started this tradition in 2011. This year's giveaway is Saturday, Nov. 23 and will be live-streamed at 2 p.m. CST on Kingshome.com and at Facebook.com/Randyhowellfishing.

"This has become the largest fundraiser of the year for these kids, teens, and ladies homes, and they appreciate our help so much," Howell said. "This is an awesome opportunity to win a beautiful Triton boat, and even if you don't need a boat, we've got guys waiting by the phone every year to buy it from the winner."

The 2019 Triton 21 TrX Elite comes equipped with a Mercury 250 ProXS four-stroke outboard along with the following accessories:

> Two Lowrance HDS 12 Live units
> MinnKota Ultrex trolling motor
> KeelShield
> Bob's Machine Shop hydraulic jackplate (custom matched)
> Two 8-foot Power-Pole Blades (blue)
> Custom Bluewater LED lighting package (boat and trailer)
> Four Odyssey batteries
> T-H Marine HydroWave

The total value of the tournament-ready boat is more than $85,000.

Tickets are available for a $100 donation, which is tax deductible. For more information, click here.
