Power-Pole to collect relief supplies

JL Marine Systems, Inc., maker of Power-Pole Shallow Water Anchors, will be collecting supplies for those impacted by the landfall of Hurricane Dorian through Friday at its headquarters in Tampa, Fla.

Items can be dropped off at the Warranty and Parts Department entrance at the company headquarters, located at 9010 Palm River Road in Tampa. Donations will be accepted between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

JL Marine Systems will also accept any new items, including tools and materials essential to the recovery efforts. All items collected will then be transported to affected areas or disseminated to organizations that the company currently partners with for community outreach and recovery.

A list of suggested items includes: batteries, including portable USB charging devices, flashlights, gift cards, sanitation items, tarps, generators, work gloves, light construction materials.

Monetary donations are requested to be made directly to the Central Florida regional chapter of the American Red Cross.
