Fishing Tackle Retailer reported today that venerable lure manufacturer Rapala has purchased a 49-percent stake in 13 Fishing, the maker of rods and reels whose history dates back less than a decade.
“They have a young, strong brand,” Rapala USA marketing director Matt Jensen told FTR. “We are big fans of 13 Fishing, and we see this deal as a win-win for both companies.”
