Former Tour winner Browne passes away

Glenn Browne, a former FLW Tour champion who also competed on the Bassmaster Elite Series for a season, passed away Tuesday morning after a 2 1/2-year battle with colorectal cancer. Browne was 43 years old.

Browne, who lived in Citrus Springs, Fla., where he operated a commercial floor cleaning business before selling it in 2018, spent 11 full seasons competing on the FLW Tour and qualified for six Forrest Wood Cups before being diagnosed with colorectal cancer in October 2016. He won just over $1 million with FLW, posting four victories, including an FLW Tour win at Fort Loudon-Tellico lakes in 2010.

He returned to the Tour in 2018, but competed in only the three tournaments. He competed in the Lake Okeechobee Southeastern FLW Series in January, finishing 58th.
