Field set for first MLF Cup

As part of the new Bass Pro Tour, the schedule is basically broken into four segments with two events in each segment. Points earned in each two-event segment are tabulated to determine the field for four different Major League Fishing Cups – Heritage, Patriot, Summit and Challenge.

After the first two tournaments – at the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes and Lake Conroe – the top 30 in points earned invitations to the Challenge Cup, which is slated to take place June 9-14 at a to-be-announced location.

The next two BPT events, scheduled for Falls Lake, Lake Jordan and Shearon Harris Reservoir in the Raleigh, N.C., area next month and Lake Chickamauga in April, will produce the field for the next Cup, tentatively scheduled for July 29-Aug. 3. The Cup events will be filmed for later airing on Outdoor Channel. The results will be embargoed until the episodes air.
