Yo-Zuri America has announced Zack Birge, who will compete on the new Bass Pro Tour in 2019, has joined the company's pro staff and will endrose Yo-Zuri hardbaits, line and leader material.
“I am very excited at the opportunity to partner with Yo-Zuri and look forward to a strong relationship both on and off the water,” Birge said in a release. “Yo-Zuri is a staple brand in both saltwater and freshwater; I am honored to have them on board next year and cannot wait for things to get started.”
Birge had a successful four-year stint on the FLW Tour, capturing Rookie of the Year honors in 2015 and qualifying for three Forrest Wood Cups. Prior to that, he won the 2014 FLW Series championship and the 2012 Bassmaster College Fishing national championship as a student at Oklahoma State.
“Zack encompasses everything we are looking for in a professional angler. He is educated, well spoken, dedicated on and off the water, and thrives with outdoor industry,” said Yo-Zuri marketing manager Theron Asbery. “The fishing world was shook up this year with the addition of a new professional tour.
