Bass Chaplain boat up for grabs

Bass Chaplain boat up for grabs

Chris Wells, better known as The Bass Chaplain for his work ministering to outdoor enthusiasts, including Elite Series anglers and their families, will be giving away his boat through a fundraiser that will benefit Well Spoken Ministries.

The drawing will be held Saturday, Dec. 1 at the Bass Pro Shops in Charlotte, N.C. (winner does not need to be present). Tickets are $100 and the winner will take home a 2018 Nitro Z18 equipped with a Mercury 175-horsepower ProXS and a MinnKota trolling motor. The boat also includes two Lowrance depth finders with StructureScan, along with 8-foot PowerPoles and a Hot Foot throttle control.

“The Fellowship of Christian Anglers Society is a non-denominational meeting for the B.A.S.S. pros, marshals, staff, and anyone else who wants the encouragement of God’s Word,’ Wells said. “We seek to study scripture and come together in Christian fellowship, and I feel a real burden to support these people as they pursue their careers; it is an honor to do so, and I look forward to being there at every event. This raffle will help continue to fund the ministry, and we appreciate the consideration.”

Anglers have been appreciative of the grounding and support Wells provides while they're away from home.

“Chris has been a great encourager for us on the Elite Series since before I got here, and is an important part of our endeavors,” said Elite Series angler Clifford Pirch. “He's always available when we are facing some of life's hardest challenges, and not to mention presenting timely, relevant messages at each FOCAS meeting. He does these things without asking for anything in return. I hope he is able to continue to be an Elite asset for years to come.”
