Authorities in Burnside, Kentucky, made an arrest Thursday in connection with the theft of fishing equipment from the truck of FLW Tour angler Jeff Gustafson.
According to a post on Burnside Police Department’s Facebook page, 33-year-old Donal Weber was arrested and charged with multiple offenses:
> Theft by Unlawful Taking Over $10,000.00;
> Fleeing and Evading Police 1st Degree;
> Two counts of Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon.
Weber was also served with four outstanding warrants after he was apprehended at his residence, where a Burnside police officer and a Kentucky Fish and Wildlife officer pursued him after a six-mile chase. Weber was being held at the Pulaski County Detention Center.
Gustafson was thankful for the efforts of law enforcement in tracking down his gear.
