Lintner makes move to Ranger

After 10 years competing a Skeeter/Yamaha rig, veteran Elite Series angler Jared Lintner will fish out of a Ranger powered by a Mercury this year.

“It was a tough decision because of my relationship with the people at Skeeter had developed over a number of years,” Lintner said as he made a cross-country drive to Florida in advance of next week’s Bassmaster Southern Open at the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes. “Looking into the future and at the possibilities, I felt like it was a time to make a move.

“I started with Ranger back in the day and I’m excited that it’s come full circle. I’m ready to roll. I’m grateful for everything Yamaha did for me for 10 years. I have nothing bad to say, but sometimes in business, you have to make tough decisions and this was one of them.”

Lintner will fish out of the 520L, a model Ranger built to commemorate the company's 50th anniversary, and it’ll be powered by a Mercury 250 Pro XS, both of which were delivered through Angler’s Marine, which has joined Lintner as a sponsor this season. He also has switched tow vehicles to a GMC Sierra 2500.
