Evers auctioning trip to help vets

Bassmaster Elite Series pro Edwin Evers is auctioning off an opportunity for a two-angler team to fish against him and fellow Elite anglers Todd Faircloth and Ish Monroe on Sept. 8 at Gull Lake near Brainerd, Minn. as part of the Optima Batteries Healing Heroes in Action program. Funds raised from the auction will benefit the Wounded Warriors Foundation.

The three pro anglers will each be paired with Purple Heart veterans. The fourth team in the event will be the highest bidders in an auction taking place on Evers' Facebook page. Bidding concludes Friday (Aug. 11) at noon CST.
