Henry to run a Charger on FLW Tour

Alabama guide and FLW Tour rookie Jonathan Henry will make his tour-level debut in a Charger boat.

Henry, who won an FLW Series event at Lake Guntersville in 2014, will return to competitive fishing after almost 2 years of fighting cancer.

"I’m just overjoyed that I’ll get a chance to compete again,” he said. “Though I’m not sure I’m 100 percent, I feel like I’m well enough to get back to work and fishing is the only work I’ve known. I just pray the good doctor reports keep coming and I’m able to make those (people) proud who got behind me and made this possible.

"I'm very thankful for the opportunity to be associated with a company with such long-standing
success and traditions like Charger Boats. I'm very excited to be riding in one of the most famous and popular hulls ever in the history of bass fishing. I’m really looking forward to having the peace of mind knowing that when the water gets rough, my back won't ever pay the price with this well-known, great-riding boat.”

Said Charger business development manager Kelly Power: “Charger is tickled to death to have Jonathan on board. He’s a phenomenal fisherman and a proven FLW angler. We are looking forward to a great partnership with him.”

Henry will fish out of a Charger 210 Pro Elite powered by a Mercury 250 Pro XS. Other companies that have aligned with him for 2017 include Scottsboro Tackle Company, Booyah, Yum, Falcon Rods, D&E Landing, Air Hydro Power, MotorGuide, T-H Marine and Costa.
