Lavigne wins B.A.S.S. Nation title in blowout

Louisiana angler Ryan Lavigne, who clinched the non-boater division of the B.A.S.S. Nation Championship on Friday, locked up the overall title Sunday behind a whopping 24-00 stringer at Lake Conroe that gave him a three-day total of 58-03. Lavigne, who hails from Gonzales, La., clinched one of three berths to the 2017 Bassmaster Classic, which will be held at Conroe in late March, awarded to B.A.S.S. Nation competitors.
