Arrest made in La. boat ramp slaying

An 18-year-old Louisiana man was arrested Saturday night and charged with second-degree murder in connection with the stabbing death of 18-year-old Dylan Poche.

According to local media reports, Andrew Wallace, of Natchitoches, is being held without bond at the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center. Wallace is accused of stabbing Poche at the Sibley Lake boat ramp near Natchitoches on Saturday night.

Local news reports indicate Poche and some friends were having a camp fire at the boat ramp when a group of individuals drove into the parking lot and started driving recklessly, throwing debris at Poche's vehicle. When Poche confronted the drivers, Wallace allegedly approached him and stabbed him in the chest.

Poche is the nephew of Bassmaster Elite Series angler Keith Poche.

Dylan Poche was an active member of the Northwestern State University bass fishing team and had finished 4th at the Toledo Bend BFL Cowboy Division on Jan. 23.
