Opinion: Schmitt deserved better

There was no shortage of drama at last week's Potomac River FLW Tour. It served as the backdrop for the culmination of the Angler of the Year race, the chase for the final berths in the Forrest Wood Cup and also for Clark Wendlandt's return to prominence as he posted his first win in 14 years.

There was also a disappointing situation, writes Steve Chaconas, involving Potomac River stud Bryan Schmitt, who had his final day derailed by frequent encounters with a local angler who seemed bent on interfering with Schmitt's shot at winning.
