Former Marine wins LT/BoatUS contest

Russell Scanlan, a former Marine and a retired civil servant from Katy, Texas, will enjoy a day of fishing with Bassmaster Elite Series pro Stephen Browning after he was randomly selected as the winner of a sweepstakes offered by LiveTarget and BoatUS Angler. His prize package also includes a $1,000 travel allowance, a BoatUS Angler On Road and On Water membership and a custom selection of LiveTarget lures.

Scanlan has been bass fishing since childhood and he's a regular on the ABA circuit.

"What a surprise Im thrilled to be the grand prize winner, he said. "I know of Stephen Browning and his success and style of fishing. It will be great to share a day with him soon.

"Ive used some LiveTarget frogs in the past and it will be interesting to get a pro's perspective on other lures in this lineup. Ive heard about the BaitBall lures.

Scanlan and Browning will post results and photos of their day on the water on the BoatUS Angler and LiveTarget Facebook pages and websites after the trip takes place later in the year.
