Crews searching for Ala. guide Jens

Authorities in Marshall and Jackson (Ala.) counties are currently searching for bass fishing guide Troy Jens, who went missing Wednesday afternoon, according to a report aired on Huntsville TV station WAFF-48.

Jens, 51, of Scottsboro, Ala., was last seen near Waterfront Grocery off Highway 79. According to the report, authorities said Jens was dropped off at the boat ramp near the store on Wednesday and when family members couldn't reach him, they contacted Scottsboro Police. He was last seen wearing tan shorts, a black t-shirt, and a ball cap.

Jens' family members are concerned about the man who they say suffers from depression. Scottsboro police chief Ralph Dawe told WAFF that video footage shows Jens at the store and efforts are being made to track him through his cell phone.

Jens, who has a passion for conservation and habitat management initiatives, operates the Angling Alabama guide service that offers instructional and consulting trips on Tennessee River lakes.
