Pipkens signs deal with camera maker

Elite Series angler Chad Pipkens has added Tactacam to his sponsor portfolio for the 2019 season.

Tactacam is a Minnesota-based company that produces HD action cameras.

"I am super pumped to work with the guys at Tactacam," Pipkens said. "The cameras are top notch and when paired with their user-friendly application it’s tough to beat. I am most excited about the remote application that I have mounted in my boat that pairs with five cameras at once. With a click of a single button I will be able to turn on all paired cameras and a hat cam in order to catch all the action from different angles."

Tactacam products have been utilized by hunters for several years and it was only natural for the company to begin targeting the fishing market.

"Tactacam has really dominated the outdoor market for years when it comes to being able to film your hunt. With the feedback of so many of our customers asking us to bring to market a similar but not the same camera for capturing their fishing action, we were excited about the challenge" said Ben Thorud, CFO of Tactacam. "We took over two years of feedback and developed a wish list of features the modern fisherman wanted."

Thorud said a new point-of-view camera named the Fish-i is slated to be released in May. It will feature one-touch record, an ultra-wide lens along with image stabilization all in a waterproof housing.
