Pro angler Andy Morgan has as deep a passion for bow hunting as he does bass fishing and during a recent hunt in the country's heartland, he felled a giant whitetail that might rank among the biggest ever in Nebraska.
This Outdoor Life article has all the details about Morgan's hunt, which was filmed (by Elite Series angler and avid hunter David Mullins) for an upcoming episode of American Archer, which airs on The Outdoor Channel.
The deer had a rack spanning 196 inches and was taken from a distance of 46 yards on a free-range farm. It's the fifth-largest whitetail ever to be recorded on film. The deer was estimated to be 7 years old and Morgan had encountered it – and passed up a shot – four years ago.
