HydroWave announced this week that Andrew Hulbert of the University of Mississippi is the recipient of the company's 2015 scholarship. Hulbert will receive $1,500 toward his ongoing college education.
Candidates for the scholarship must be active members of a high school or college fishing program and exhibit community leadership and academic excellence.
“Choosing this year's recipient was a difficult task," said HydroWave managing partner Gene Eisenmann. "There we so many great kids who applied. At the end, Andrew stood out and let me tell you, he is an impressive kid.”
Hulbert is a biology pre-med student who has consistently made the dean's list for academic performance since 2013. He's also an organizer of the Bass Pro Shops Kids Fishing Weekend.
