Report: Indiana man drowns during tournament

A 50-year-old Indiana man drowned Sunday after falling from a fishing boat during a tournament at Glenn Flint Lake, west of Indianapolis, according to media reports.

James P.E. Camp Jr., 50, of Terre Haute was fishing with another man when Camp's partner heard a splash. The man turned to see Camp fall into the water and attempted to retrieve him with a fishing net. When Camp did not resurface, he called 911.

Camp was retrieved by divers and taken by ambulance to the Putnam County Hospital. Indiana Conservation Officers are conducting an investigation, but no foul play is suspected at this time. An autopsy is to be scheduled for Tuesday. Camp was not wearing a life jacket at the time he was found.
