Former Bassmaster Elite Series pro Bradley Hallman took over the lead on Friday at the Grand Lake Central Rayovac as his 23-03 bag gave him a 2-day total of 43-11. He'll enter the final day with a 3-ounce lead over Jonathan Henry and an 11-ounce advantage over day-1 leader Todd Castledine.
Sight-fishing was again the dominant theme, but anglers reported that the number of visible spawners appears to be dwindling and that other tactics might be required on Saturday.
