Parks & Rec deal for Hawk

Parks & Rec deal for Hawk

Bassmaster Elite Series pro Kevin Hawk has signed a 2-year sponsorship deal with Cullman County Parks and Recreation to promote tourism and fishing in the county and at Smith Lake.

"This is the largest promotion that Cullman County Parks and Recreation has ever done to promote tourism to Cullman County and our parks," said director Doug Davenport. "As fishing gains more followers from the professional, college, and high school levels, along with the amateur fishing that takes place on Smith Lake, we thought this was the perfect opportunity to join with Kevin Hawk in promoting our area.

"As the Bass Hall of Fame Museum comes to Cullman, and with more fishing tournaments taking place on Smith Lake, we knew that we made the right decision for this new venture."

Said Hawk: "I live close to Smith Lake Park and love fishing and spending time with friends in Cullman as often as I can. Doug and his staff are passionate about building Smith Lake Park's popularity and attracting anglers from all over the country. I'm looking forward to representing Cullman County and Smith Lake Park, and helping bring more anglers to the park."
