Elite Series pro Tim Horton announced today he has purchased a "significant" stake in Amphibia Sports Sunglasses.
As of Jan. 1, Horton took on a substantial, although not majority, ownership role in the company, with an eye on leveraging his current and future marketability, business savvy and new product development skills. This is not Horton's first venture into the business side of fishing. He has an extensive list of businesses, including his own outdoor production company and new television show, "Timmy Horton Outdoors."
“It’s important for anglers to recognize the impact they can have on a company's success," he said. "This impact is not temporary and typically sets the foundation for future growth. I want to be part of that future. I want today’s efforts to pay off in the future. I’m not the first to take on an ownership role and the trend is gaining traction in our industry."
