BASS: 2011 Opens

BASS today announced the schedule for its 2011 Bassmaster Opens. Here's the scoop.

Final-day weigh-ins will take place at an adjacent Bass Pro Shops store.

The three divisions – Southern, Central and Northern – remain intact, with three events each.

There are no repeat venues next year.

BASS stated that payout and "qualifying implications" will be posted at a later date, which could hint that Bassmaster Classic or Elite Series qualifying structure might change.

Co-anglers will again he held to a three-fish limit.

Registration for an entire division begins Nov. 16 for the Southerns, Nov. 30 for the Centrals and Dec. 7 for the Northerns. The entire registration schedule is at Bassmaster.com.

Southern Opens
> Jan. 20-22 -- Lake Tohopekaliga -- Kissimmee, Fla.
> March 24-26 -- Lake Norman -- Charlotte, N.C.
> June 2-4 -- Douglas Lake -- Jefferson County, Tenn.

Central Opens
> Feb. 24-26 -- Lake Lewisville -- Lewisville, Texas
> April 28-30 -- Table Rock Lake -- Branson, Mo.
> Sept. 8-10 -- Arkansas River -- Muskogee, Okla.

Northern Opens
> July 7-9 -- James River -- Richmond, Va.
> Aug. 25-27 -- Lake Erie -- Sandusky, Ohio
> Sept. 22-24 -- Oneida Lake -- Syracuse, N.Y.
