FLW reports boat collision at Seminole

Two boats were involved in a low-speed collision this morning at the Lake Seminole Southeastern FLW Series, according to an FLW press release. Boater Adam Slupczynski of Marietta, Ga., and co-angler Jim Topmiller of Orlando, Fla., were in one of the boats; boater Frank Clark of Benton, Ill., and co-angler Anthony Hunt of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. were in the other boat.

The collision happened around 7:40 a.m. on the Georgia side of Seminole near Sealy's Cut. Both boats were able to make it to the landing at Three Rivers State Park in Chattahoochee, Fla., where they were met by local authorities. Topmiller was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The other three anglers declined medical attention.

Weather conditions were not a factor. The accident is currently being investigated by the local authorities. FLW will continue to release information as it becomes available.

It's the second boat collision at an FLW event this year. In late January, FLW Tour pros Andy Young and William Campbell collided during an event at Lake Okeechobee. Young remains sidelined with a back injury.
