Havasu produces 29 1/2-pound bag

The folks at McCoy Fishing, based in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., passed along a note that two members of the company's pro staff recently set a new Lake Havasu record with a five-fish stringer that weighed 29.45 pounds.

The sack was caught by Billy Skinner and John Galbraith in a Total Bass Addicts team tournament. The biggest fish in their quintet weighed just over 8 pounds.

Havasu will host a Bassmaster Elite Series event for the first time this year. Dates for the tournament are May 7-10.
