Eaker's back

Guy Eaker is returning to the pro tournament scene in 2015, according to an article published on Bassmaster.com Thursday.

The 75-year-old Eaker, who retired from Elite Series competition following the 2010 season, will fish all three divisions of the Bassmaster Opens this year.

During his time away from the tour level, his wife was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, a disorder that includes the symptoms of bone and joint debilitation. She was wheelchair-bound for nearly two years, but has made a stunning recovery and is now able to walk again.

“My goal is to fish as long as the good Lord will let me,” he told Bassmaster. “I told Earl Bentz (founder of Triton Boats) the worst thing I can do is sit in a chair and quit fishing. That would be the end of me.”
