According to a report in today's edition of The Fishing Wire, Platinum Equity Group has sold four of its boat brands to The Beneteau Group of France.
Four Winns, Glastron, Wellcraft and Scarab were the brands sold to The Beneteau Group, which is attempting to grow its North American market share in the sub 12-meter category.
Platinum still owns Fishing Boat Holdings, maker of Ranger, Triton and Stratos boats.
