EverStarts to become Rayovac Series

EverStarts to become Rayovac Series

FLW announced today that its triple-A circuit will undergo a name change for the fourth time in the past decade, but it's sticking with a battery theme as the EverStart Series will become the Rayovac Series.

In a separate announcement involving Rayovac, FLW announced that 2012 Forrest Wood Cup champion Jacob Wheeler will represent that brand on Tour this year. He replaces Jason Christie, the two-tour standout who relinquished his team deal for 2014 in order to pursue his own sponsorship opportunities.

Rayovac's parent company, Spectrum Brands Holdings, has also increased its FLW sponsorship level by adding three brands. California stalwart Cody Meyer will represent Repel, Kentucky veteran Dan Morehead will represent George Foreman and Ohioan Vic Vatalaro will wear the colors of Dingo.

“We’re excited to be working with FLW again in 2014 and are looking to make an even bigger impression with the addition of these new brands,” said Rayovac director of marketing Harrison Smiddy Sr.

FLW's five-division triple-A circuit was known as the EverStart Series from its inception in 1998 through 2005, and then again from 2011 through this year. It was the Stren Series for 4 seasons beginning in 2006 and was without a title sponsor in 2010, when it was known as the American Fishing Series.
